The EWV2000 is the companion sound module for the EWI1000 and EVI1000. It consists of a programmable analog synthesizer with 2 real analog VCOs, 3 resonant real analog filters, 2 envelope generators, and 2 real analog VCAs. It can perform as two parallel synthesizers with two different sounds or as a single complex synthesizer with modulation between them. Breath and bite pressure can control pitch, pulsewidth modulation, filter cutoff modulation, and volume. The three different formant filters allow the creation of resonant formants for simulations of cups, mutes, plungers, and string body resonances.

The External Input allows other sound sources to be processed through the EWV2000. Other features include wave envelope FM, 64 user programmable memories, and a 16 character backlit LCD. Additionally, the EWV2000 is equipped with a MIDI out jack. Patch data (all 64 Patches or Banks of 8 Patches) can be saved to and loaded from standard audio cassette. There is no MIDI dump of patches, but then again you couldn’t dump the patches back into the EWV2000 via MIDI since there is no MIDI IN.
